Sun Audio SV 2A3 stepped attenuators

If anyone or audiophile knows or experiences the replacement of the volume controls with the stepped attenuators of the Sun Audio SV 2A3 please let me know how much impedances do the volume controls require(100K or 250K Ohms...)? Thanks.
