I'm not sure how a super tweeter effects the bass but ok. I've added both subwoofers and super tweeters to the single driver systems I've had with great results when done properly. It takes time to integrate but the end result, to me, was fantastic. I believe Tannoy makes a super tweeter but you might experiment with something else cheaper first to see if you like what they add. Fostex makes a couple options but check out Madisound and their super tweeter section.
Super tweeter, subwoofer, or both
I’ve just purchased Tannoy Kensingtons for a dedicated 2 channel system in a sound treated 500SF room. I listen to vocal jazz and like instrumental detail. I’ve used a pair of Rythmik subs with Voxativ single driver speakers. Sweet combo! Owners of floor standing Tannoy praise supertweeters as a positive addition across the audible spectrum — including bass.Your thoughts and chain of logic are welcome.
