Tara Labs

A friend recommended Tara Labs Caprice Speaker cable.

Cant find any reviews and most posts re: Tara are pretty dated.

Anyone hear these?

If so would be interested in your insights.

Thanks

Tara was big way back in the day but something seems to have happened and they faded quite a bit. Might be trying to make a comeback of sorts but I personally don't know anyone (real life or online) who has tried any of their recent stuff. Which might be telling in terms of the quality, or it might just be related to the fact that we have many many more choices these days compared to back when Tara was bigger.

There was a gigantic, multi year, 20k thread on here about Tara Labs that eventually got deleted, because it was full of dealer shills, just like the similar sized High Fidelity Cables thread.

They both got deleted and its a shame because I never read any of it and would like to know more about Tara Labs. They have many levels of cables, from very affordable to priced to the moon.

I recall @calvinj being a huge proponent of Tara cables. Perhaps he can offer an explanation.

Thanks for the followup.  It seems Tara has fallen off the radar as there are not many/any reviews of their cables.  One thing I noted was their spades and banana plugs are gold coated brass.  I was under the impression brass was a lower cost, lesser quality option for connectors.

I have a pair of Tara Lab RSC Air3s. They’re built well and I think and other people I’ve compared them with think they sound better than the cable I was using previously. I was kind of shocked because I didnt fully buy into the speaker wire thing. One thing to note is my previous wire is fairly long and is smaller gauge, whereas the Air3s are short (probably about 5-6 feet), so maybe thats whats causing the difference?
