Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Keep me posted & Happy Listening!

I am looking forward to the audition as well.  It is going to be interesting to learn the advancement of the cubed series.  Happy Listening!

Good to see you. Thank You for the comments. I would not mind getting a demo on the ML No. 585 integrated. It has received high marks all around.  The early reports on the Bryston 4B3 is that it has a warmer presentation than previous series.  This might account for the presentation, sound that you heard during your demo.

Happy Listening!

Thank You for your comments and replies to my query.  I think that we all started with Monster Cable at one time or another.  I know that Transparent then M.I.T. were some of the earliest adopters of aftermarket cabling and power cords. It would be interesting to learn which company came into existence in Europe and Japan.
No doubt that Ray Kimber had a hand in those early days of cabling.
Wonderful CES story.  A few years ago I did hear Straight Wire and was impressed with its entry level IC and PC. Very musical to my ears. This tells us that one does not need to spend much money to achieve great sound.   Happy Listening!
Well...trying to keep this related to Thiel...

Having recently completed a very extensive auditioning period of a long list of speakers from $6,000 to around $20,000 or more retail (some new, some used), virtually every single one of those speakers were hooked up to a wide variety of high priced speaker cables (including Nordost and other well regarded brands), attached to systems with expensive interconnects, expensive AC cables, power conditioners etc.

Somehow, despite all of those items that should have accumulated some impressive gains over my cheapo cabling, none of that seemed to give them much of a leg up on my system. In every case I found my system competitive (and usually better/preferable) in every way, whether it was detail, smoothness, organic quality, timbral nuances, imaging, you name it. My system did not seem hampered in any way at all.

So for me, I'm confident in where I have allocated my money and time - which is to the right speaker (and good room set up).

I love my Thiels!

(I don't plan on selling my Thiels, only augmenting my speaker collection as I love speakers).

nice deduction on the Acoustic Zen cables.  Over the years, I have spent the most time, owned, Transparent Audio products.  From my previous system I endorsed the Super IC and PC.  Very good for little money.
Imagine my surprise when I had more than several opportunities to audition the top-tier Ref, RefXL and OPUS cabling systems.  Beyond belief.   Happy Listening!
