Thiel Owners

Guys-

I just scored a sweet pair of CS 2.4SE loudspeakers. Anyone else currently or previously owned this model?
Owners of the CS 2.4 or CS 2.7 are free to chime in as well. Thiel are excellent w/ both tubed or solid-state gear!

Good thing. Between early reconnaissance, replacing the resistors, and the more recent work I’ve probably taken the radiators off 20+ times. There is a trick to it. Elsewhere I posted instructions from Rob Gillum.

Thanks.  That makes me feel much better trying to work on the xovers.

I was just reading about the SACD is now 20 years old (and counting).

I own several titles on the original 1999 single layer (SL) format.

Has anyone successfully integrated a subwoofer (or pair of subs) with the 2.4's (or other Thiels)?  How?  Electronic crossover?  Which one?  Which subs?

Yes!!!

Two SVS SB2000 subs placed just inside the 2.4s, lined in from PS Audio Stellar Gain Cell DAC, built-in crossovers on subs set to ~60 Hz, phase set at 12 o'clock, volume at 12 0'clock, and running the 2.4s at full bandwidth via balanced ICs to a pair of Stellar M700s with Audioquest CV8 speaker cables.

Amazing!
