It would be good if the manufacturer provided some measurements to see the difference. I’m not sure what the old BE drivers were made of, maybe titanium like the tweeters. It's not a bad material but has largely gone out of vogue in high end speakers. The Revel Ultima2 series which is long in the tooth is one of the few production speakers I know of that still uses a lot of titanium drivers. But ceramic is certainly more common in high end speakers these days, but it does have some breakup modes that need to be removed by the crossover.
