Volume Control with 6 speakers:/

Hi there! So I just recently had a house built and I had them add 8 speaker drops for in ceiling speakers and 2 volume control knob ports (1 for kitchen/family room and 1 for the patio). Little did I know I can only add a pair to one knob. So my idea is run the patio direct to the receiver, and then run the other 6 speakers to a switch then back to a volume control knob then to the receiver. Anyone got any ideas? These weren’t run the way I wanted but I don’t want these fools wrecking my drywall to rewire.

4, family room?

2 for the kitchen

2 for the patio?

Depending on the speaker type, 70v PA style system. I'm pretty sure you can run it how ever you want. That part depends on what the source amplifier can do and is made for.  Certain amps are made for just this type of set up?

I suggest calling Parts Express and tell them what you have they will tell you exactly the type of speakers that will be best for you.. Options, ay?
They have 4-12 station amps, with YOUR phone in control. Weather proof drivers for outside.. Remote vs Hard wire vs both..

I'm not getting a clear picture.. Parts Express is your friend though..

A single receiver and 4 pairs of wires? Something like that..

Regards
Yeah it’s 8 in ceiling already wired up (no speakers yet) my question is can I run a volume control knob after my speaker selector then run the volume control knob to the receiver? I’ve got everything routed to a hall closet and a receiver that works with my smart hub and Alexa. So I can keep it all hidden. Let me see if I can add some pictures? Or can someone direct me on how to?

So black circle= speaker location
red filled circle=routed to location
the red X is where I want the volume knob in the wiring if it’ll work
70 volt transformers what oldhvymec said.
As noted ceiling speakers don't sound too good unless you're laying down. Even then forget about an image.
If your speakers are high impedance and/or you wire them in series, you can put quite a few loudspeakers on a single amp until you run out of power.
