I broke down and decided to give Roon a try. I picked up a Roon Nucleus so that I could use it as a streamer and move my Aqua La Voce S3 DAC into my main system. My two TEAC NT-505 streamer/DACs became Roon endpoints and one moved to my computer system.
I listened to a bunch of reference tracks last night and have to say that the interface is a lot better than BubbleUPnP and the Lumin app. Roon brings my ripped library, Qobuz, and Tidal into one interface (no more switching from Qobuz to Tidal to foobar2000 when listening on the computer) and I can use my best DAC in my main system. I also like how it offers a "radio" option and more information about what you're listening to.
This morning it "suggested" the new Yes release - Quest. As much as I dislike the idea of paying just for the software to listen to my music sources when they all come with free software and BubbleUPnP was less than 5 bucks, I have to admit Roon is pretty cool. Which I'm sure a lot of you already know. I'm just stubborn sometimes.
