Dark - Round the Corners. I usually run away from proper Prog-Rock like a dog who just got out of the yard - but man, that fuzztone guitar work. An album stuck between genre’s for sure.
JassStereo’s Henry Red Allen / Coleman Hawkins discs. I listened to several volumes in succession. Great albums by great players and in stereo - a novelty for them at the time. Vol 2 - High Standards has the best version of Summertime I own - and I own about 20 versions without looking too hard. Most of the songs can be found on other jazz labels, but the JassStereo’s engineers do them justice.
Les Differents - S/T. Great Canadian garage punk. I have no idea what they are singing about, but they obviously feel very strongly about it.
