Why are speaker engineers not required to be qualified?

If you want to be a doctor or a surgeon or a dentist or a teacher you must be qualified or else you would go to prison if convicted of trying to work in these professions.

I believe that high end speaker engineers must be qualified to the highest possible standards. Phd as a minimum. Harvard or MIT. How many speaker engineers can claim they have that? Probably none.

It is very important that speaker engineers are competent at designing speakers or we will end up with a bunch of useless speakers on the market done by charlatans. This can then lead audiophiles to end up on the so called 'peaker merry go round, whereby satisfaction can never be attained and never ending upgrades.

In some cases the dissatisfaction can be so great that it can even lead to depression followed by suicide in some cases.

It's a life and death situation.

We must ensure that speaker engineers are qualified. It's unbelievable that anybody who has no qualifications can decide to become a speaker engineer, set up a company in his garage, start churning out wooden boxes that are completely out of tune and rotten and get away with it. These companies can grow as big as they like and nobody can stop them. Neither the reviewers or the consumers know any better so they play along. Lets all hope that Joe Biden can put an end to this deplorable situation.

To this day, I still can't tell if he's posting these before or after being dosed.
"In some cases the dissatisfaction can be so great that it can even lead to depression followed by suicide in some cases."

Really, provide a real example of that.
just look up the suicide rate among audiophiles. I am not here to do your homework
