Wow on a CD transport?
Upon playing the von Karajan CD (of Brahms’ Third Symphony, 3rd movement,) I heard very distinct wow (pitch fluctuation) in the clarinet for about ten seconds on my Cyrus transport. It had trouble loading the CD at first, but I didn’t think it possible for wow to occur on a transport. I replayed the section and it was there again. I switched to another CD player (Oppo 105D) and it wasn’t there.
I went back to the Cyrus and re-asserted the CD in the machine and the wow was gone!
I’m pretty sure it wasn’t my imagination because I heard it two times and it was pretty severe.
Has anyone else experienced this?
