Listening room design

I will be taking an unused room above a garage (bonus room) and turning it into a dedicated listening room. The primary focus is on 2ch audiophile experience.
Currently the space has open stud walls approximately 18' x 30'x 8' . So the options are wide open. I welcome your suggestions for room size, wall and floor (ie carpet or wood) coverings. I have even considered building false walls on the sides to angle in a bit for a no-parallel side wall design. Also opinions regarding placing the source on the short wall or the long wall.
Thank you

Consider rives audio or some of the room treatment manu like ASC, realtrap, Gik, when u make an enquiry they can suggest to you how to treat your room. Google audiocircle . Plenty of inform on room treatment
Since the room is open studded build bass traps directly into the wall structure.
An inexpensive reference is the "Get Better Sound" book by a Stereophile writer who's name escapes me right now. He spent his career doing room setups and his advice is excellent. Good luck
