References to other artists and songs are everywhere, but my two favorites are Steely Dan from "Everything You Did":

and Tears For Fears on "Seeds Of Love":

Kick out the Style bring back the Jam

"Have you got a steady boyfriend Cause honey I've been watching you I hear you're mad about Brubeck I like your eyes, I like him too He's an artist, a pioneer We've got to have some music on the new frontier" Not exactly rock-exclusive, though! :-)
