Tubegroover: If Pele could continue to have his woman "perform" on film for every man in Brazil, he would be a much bigger man than anyone I know. As his wife, she would have reflected poorly on him, particularly as he is a retired sports figure. As one who probably gains his living by his reputation and the perception of other people, I doubt he could have afforded such a marriage or relationship. Back to the topic: As much as I like to look at beautiful women, when it comes to singing, who cares what they look like? In this video age, we are inundated with beautiful women (and men) who cannot sing. They may be able to dance, possess a great body, have a beautiful smile etc. but singing has fallen by the wayside. I would say that 70-80% of the artists today could not get a record contract 30-50 years ago. Besides, hair and makeup artists have turned their jobs into such high art that if you are attracted to the physical appeal of the artist, you are often being completely tricked. I try to stick to vocal ability when evaluating singers while leaving female appreciation as something which can be pursued, if necessary, in the dark corner at tne newstand.
