Voltages 110/230

Please excuse my ignorance on this whole subject... I have a trip planned to the US in the next month and I plan to do a little speaker shopping - strong euro and all. Question is will I be able to connect US speakers (110 volt) into my Denon (230 volt)amp? Or will it be a case of matching the ohm (8) rating of amp to that of the ohm rating of the speaker?
