Where to buy lead shot

Thanks for all the great ideas. I'll give these avenues a try. I'd prefer to buy it locally to save shipping $$$. I guess I'm leaning toward a shot/sand combo as this seems to make a lot of sense.

i contacted target with questions regarding their heavy metal. it's 35 pounds (about $56) for 20 kilos (sorry i can't run that conversion). their rep. maureen rose is available at 44 1582 401244. she'll be able to direct you to the dealer nearest you.

.....2.2 lbs. per kilo X 20 kilos = 44 lbs.. Luck.

I buy my lead shot from Carter Country in Houston. This is a speciality store for guns, ammuniation, and other out door activities i.e. fising. I would recommend that you use half sand and half shot for your stands. Less expensive than using all shot and sounds better. Jim
