Marten Design Miles II vs Avalon Opus Ceramique..?

Hi,

Has anyyone heard either one of these speakers and compared them? Since they both use same brand of drivers, I was wondering which speaker design is better executed i.e. musicality and coherence?

Also has anyone heard the Margules Orpheus line of speakers also using ceramic drivers?

Thanks!

Hi. I´m not familiar with the Marten Design speakers, but I currently have at home Ayon Audio Falcon S and Avalon Opus Ceramique speakers. Although they use the same tweeter and midrange section both speakers sound totally different. The Avalon is EXTREMELY coherent with lots of detail and space while on the other side lacks a deep base line and punch. The Ayon is extremely dynamic and has got a lot of punch but is not as stabel (imaging wise) and not as coherent as the Avalon.
Depending on what you want (to spend) you should probably look as well at the Kharma or Lumen White range of spakers. Both use ceramique drivers as well.
Hi Frankpiet,

I almost forgot I made this post. BTW I have since bought the Spendor S8e which I feel surpasses both the speakers I originally sought out.

Thank you for answering my post!*>)
Frankpiet,

I have the Opus. Not the ceramic version. I have no reason to switch my speaker for anything else because I am very happy with the sound. But I am curious about the Opus Ceramic. Have you ever listened to the Opus (non Ceramic)? Any thoughts on the differences?
