Theduke, if you want to negotiate maybe the best thing to do is ask what price the buyer has in mind, which you can accept or deny. Mrvordo, you might also try this, or simply not reply.
Having recently sold a car, I was reminded of what I already knew: There is a HUGE gap between someone saying they want something and actually writing the check. Lot's of people want things, but very few actually buy.
While I hate the what's the lowest price question, in reality I usually do have a good idea what the lowest price would be if it doesn't sell in a few weeks...but I often get that question a few hours after the ad is listed...
