Speaker Recommendation Needed

A friend of mine wants to get a new system and I'm trying to help her out. Her room is pretty large: 20'x22'x12'. She listens primarily to classical music. She has heard my Spica TC-60's and loves the natural sound, imaging and soundstage of those speakers. Her budget for speakers is $800-$900. If we look for used ones on Audiogon, what can you recommend?

Thanks,

Steve O.

Vandersteens 2ce sig. are a nice choice and are a very pleasing and musical speaker...Pretty hard not to like this choice....
I strongly consider a pair of GMA Europas which sell for 5-600. They honestly sound very very good for the price and leaves you enough money to get good stands anc cables. They were a obvious step up from my Totem Rainmakers.

They do sound very good, but not the best choice for a room that large.
Fishboat: other components haven't been decided on; thought we'd do speakers first. But she wants a reciever (doesn't like the idea of separates). So, she's going to need lots of power for the Vandersteens or the Snells, right? How much power, minimum?
Everybody: I hear the Vandersteens have a great soundstage, but what about imaging? As good as my Spica's? Unfortunately, we live in Ky.; very little choice as regards auditioning speakers.
