Cost no Object but Small Room

What speakers would you recommend without consideration of value (well forget the US$100 thou plus monsters!) for smallish room?

I am moving places and it looks my dedicated 2 channel system will have to go the study. Room size is only 11 ft x 17ft, barely. However all there is the room is basically the system and a desk/chair.

I listen to all kinds of music but mostly jazz (including fusion), rock, pop, blues.

Before I moved into my own house a little over a year ago, my listening room was 12' x 16'. I used a pr. of Dynaudio C2's there with fantastic results driven by Atma-Sphere MP1 MkIII pre and MA2 Mk2.3 amps. They did not overwhelm the room as long as it was properly treated with bass traps.
There is nothing wrong with a room that size, as long as it is a dedicated room. Any number of "cost no object" speakers could sound great in that room...take a look at the MBL line of speakers for one.

I've used both Verity Parsifal Encores and current spec Merlin VSMs in a similar sized space with great success. They sound different one to the other, but you'd find the time well spent to check out both.

Good Luck,

Marty
I selected the Verity Audio Parisifal Ovations because of the refinded full range from a smallish box. The caveat is that you may have to fire the base cabinets forward, which can alter the sound a bit....

But, if you expand, you can turn them backward (as I did after I moved) and let them rip!!!

Enjoy the seach....

BTW - Search the SF Startavais, there is a guy on this site that has them set up in a relativly tiny room and has no complaints.

Smaller rooms tend to have larger/more complicated acoustical issues ...

You might consider treating the room for it's issues, and all ships (your equipment) will rise with the tide.
