Magnepan 3.6

At very low levels, maybe, but it is not a good match with a current hungry speaker such as the 3.6

Match? That's hard to say since there are other factors involved. Listening room/acoustics/other gear ????????

Not realy 40 watts wont do the 3.6 justice.So many seem to want to try out SET but never use the right loudspeakers for SET. If SETs what you want get loudspeakers for it if you love your 3.6 get the right amp for them.

you should have no problem with an spl of less than 80 db.

i drive a pair of 1.6s with 4 watts. don't listen to the naysayers. try it and see. bring the amp to the speakers.
make sure the room is not much larger than your room.
