Are Ohm Walsh Speakers the Poor Man's MBLs?

Are the Ohm Walsh speakers and the MBl speakers using essentially the same technology? Has anyone had experience with how the two compare to one another. Clearly there is a major price difference, but do the Ohm's give ~99% of the experience?

Just curious.

Marty,

I do think the omni sound radiation pattern is a key for image depth and acoustic dampening of the Walsh CLS driver in the wall facing directions would tend to limit this somewhat compared to what I heard with mbl.

Maybe John Strohbeen is out there reading these posts and might chirp in?

I wonder if other true omnis like Dueval and Morrison can do what the mbls do?
Does anyone here know if the Ohm MicroWalsh Talls are bi-wireable. I'm going to get some new speaker cable and need to know if I should have it terminated bi-wire or not.
I would not see much benefit in biamping Walsh speakers in any case. Most of the sound except the extreme top end comes from a single driver.
