Topnotch BluRay Concert.....

I recently bought Adele on Blue Ray live at the Royal Albert Hall. Simply spectacular 5.1 sound. Anyone experience good 5.1/2.1 concerts feel free to explain in detail and even direct where to buy.....thx in advance:)

Botti's BR comes immediately to mind.
There are a few others to note Les Paul's bithday BR is exceptional value, Billy Joel in the last great concert at
Shea stadium, Eltons 60th brithday bash at MSG, David Foster's hitman Bluray,Etta James for an older BR is quite good,The Ojays, War,Fca 35 Tour: An Evening With Peter Frampton ,Blu-ray, most classical concerts are god with exception of Aix's house bands border on boring although good in sound and video.
To that end here are some classical favs:
New Year's Concert 2012 Blu-ray,
Flute Concertos at Sanssouci - A Tribute to Frederick The Great [BPhilharmoniker & Yutaka Sado Blu-ray, (2011,Mahler: Symphony No 8 Blu-ray 2012,Abbado Conducts Mahler: Symphony 5 Blu-ray 2011
Beethoven: Symphonies Nos. 7,8 & 9 Blu-ray (2011)
Maybe with a collection o fover 150 BRs I should not what not to buy! lol
Three that come to mind are , Lou Reed, ELP, and David Gilmour. The first is nothing short of horrible.
Led Zeppelin Celebration Day very impressive on all counts: Visuals, SQ and musicianship/performance. Jason Bonham did his dad proud. Get it and turn to "11!"
Great thread. I just ordered Snakes and Arrows and the Botti disc with a gift card I received. Looking forward to getting them. Adele is on the 'wish list' and ironically, the only one I have not had a chance to see in concert.
I also bought Adele's dvd mentioned above and have now put all three through their paces on my less than perfect (but improving) system.

Did anyone else find the Snakes and Arrows DTS5.1 to be harsh or over-bright sounding? At some points things began to blur and the sound was confused. Maybe it was just me? I'm a huge Rush fan and I saw them do this tour live (and several other Rush live shows) so it wasn't new or unfamiliar material. I liked the sound a lot better on 2.1 Dolby than DTS 5.1.

Adele was brilliant in DTS5.1 as was Botti. It was just the Rush DVD that was 'meh' in DTS 5.1...
