Anyone heard the Def Tech Supercube subwoofers?

I would like to hear about your experience with the Definitive Technology Supercube I or Reference subwoofers. In particular, how well did they integrate and perform with music? Most sub's do well for HT, but not necessarily with music, as I found out.

Thanks for your help!

ive had the reference, i now own dual velodyne hgs15x's, and the reference was a good sub. it went low, was powerful, but not the most musical, as compared to the velodynes.
It will still rock my room quite a bit, but not as much as I've heard it should. My wife says she can hear it outside in the back yard and my sub is in the front of the house. I too can hear it, but not like a huge rumble like the reviews I read. One said it set of his neighbors house alarm. I'm not sure my neighbors know I have it yet. How do I measure its levels? Can anyone come listen to it? I live in Post Falls, ID.

you should re-position it. if it is setting off yer nieghbors house alarm, then it is definatly doing its job right, but the location of the sub is probably causing the cancellation of the output by reflections coming back in 180 out of phase.

Definatly try re-locating the subwoofer. Play around with it.

You can always put it on the spot you normally listen and crawl around on the floor and find out where the bass is at its highest. Then place the subwoofer there and see if there is a difference.

What the hell are you playing on it anyways? Outkast's boom boom boom?
heh

that is a song to test a subwoofer.
