Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Looks like KWS "wrote or co-wrote" 8 or 12 tracks on his debut but apparently a Corey Sterling did lead vocals.

This is makes for an interesting read on th subject of Mr. Sterling as well as KWS' song writing credits.

That should be 8 of 12 tracks.  How much of a contribution KWS made to the song writing seems to be a contentious issue (see above link).  (Pardon typos).
ghosthouse,

Not sure what the issues were within the KWS band as far as collaboration. However Kenny was very young at the time of the release of Ledbetter Heights. Looks like he would have been about 17 or 18, (If my calculations are correct).

This morning my good friend arcam88 reminded me of the band that was the first live rock concert I attended. The headliner was Aerosmith. However the warm up band was R.E.O. Speedwagon. It was a great show. This was R.E.O. before they went "wimpy".

So today I listened to several oldies. However two songs that stand out today. First is "Lost in a Dream". This was 1974, without Kevin Cronin.

The second song is from R.E.O/T.W.O., it's "How the story goes". This one has Kevin on vocals but it's always been Gary Richrath who has impressed me. I'm an Aerosmith fan also, earlier recordings. But I have to give the best of show to R.E.O. that evening.

Listened to KWS. It's a great listen. Going to add it to my collection. I agree that Ledbetter Heights may have a slight edge but Kenny's playing is amazing. I need to more of his

Ian Siegel is up next. I'll let you know.
