I am in the process of building a state of the art home theater with true acoustic engineering and all the tricks built in. However, as I contemplate the equipment to use, I'm at a loss. It seems the latest technology on Blu Ray has some real upside but there aren't a lot of choices in separates. Can you all recommend or at least list the latest AV Processors with full up to date HDMI 1.3a support. All responses will be greatly appreciated.
the best value is the Cary 11a-$3500 Theta will offer it as a $4000 option in 3-4 months. I am a dealer michael 831-423-5523 www.luckymanmediagroup.com
The Cary is due out in a week or two. The Classe had just appeared. Also on the way are units from Anthem, NAD, NAD Master, Sim Moon, Parasound, B&K, etc.
How is the Cary the 'best value' at $3500 when you can buy an Integra 9.8 or 9.9 for way less than half the money? There is an Integra 9.8 on Videogon right now for $900.
If you'd like to spend even less money, wait 1 month for the Emotiva UMC-1 with ALL the bells and whistles for only $699. Use the $3,000 you save and apply it towards other equipment or better speakers...

Was wondering why 1.3a support? Do you plan on very long runs of hdmi cable?
