What ever happened to Krell ?

I know they're still in business but it seems to me they've lost their hiend status they once had.
I might be wrong ,but looking at their products of late the build quality and visual appeal looks cheaper.

I didn't even realize Dennis Had left Cary.
Thanks for posting that info

Dennis Had left Cary several years ago. I do not think it was an amicable split.

You can still find Dennis building his own line of preamps and amps called Inspire.
He sells them on Ebay under the moniker "radioman731".
He still ships them out of Cary, North Carolina.
Dan hurt himself at Krell by coming out with his own speakers. B & W dropped Krell for Classe. This is what led to the downfall and exit of Dan.
I must apologize fro my selection of words I used in response to Dave b's disc spinners remark.

Dennis was the designer of what used to be called the "classic" line of products.  These are the ones that won all the accolades, and put Cary on the map.

Once he left, I have yet to hear a Cary product that I would consider especially noteworthy.  Just my opinion.
It is difficult to lose the "leader" of an operation and still expect it to carry on.
Add Mark Levinson to the discussion.
