Just Ordered New Speakers

I just put the order in for a pair of Golden Ear Triton Reference Speakers. I was able to get the first production run which should be shipping sometime in May. They will replace my Triton 1 speakers which will be moved upstairs to my secondary system. Presently I have Triton 2 in my secondary system, so those will go on the market once my new speakers come in. I bought these without hearing them, but since I already own both the 1 and 2, I am positive I will love them. They all have the GE house sound which I like very much.

Now the long wait and anticipation begins

"Golden Ear" is also the technical term doctors use for cases of extreme ear wax buildup.

I wasn't able to find anything on the Internet to substantiate your claim.

I was able to find plenty of information to the contrary. For instance, an excerpt from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_ear

"A golden ear is a term used in professional audio circles to refer to a person who is thought to possess special talents in hearing. People described as having golden ears are said to be able to discern subtle differences in audio reproduction that most inexperienced and untrained listeners cannot. Another meaning of the term is used by audiologists to describe aging test subjects who do not demonstrate the expected age-related loss in hearing acuity."
Looking forward to hearing your impressions on these Triton Ref's, I've heard the 'One's' and frankly thought they should cost 4x what they turned out to be here in the UK. Very honest manufacturing and marketing, well done GE..
I will be giving my first second and last impressions on them.  Looks like it is going to be late June before the dealers receive them :(
