Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Nutty -
Have Memory Crash going in the 'phones tonight.  Tried this recording a while back.  For whatever reason, it didn't grab me then.  Sure am picking up on it tonight though!  Like the fact it is mainly instrumental (well, just got to his cover of Day of the Eagle...so a vocal there).  This LP has a bit of a prog feel to it...Water on Ares does, at least.  Good recommendation.

arcam88 - I have the SACD version of Up.  It is a fantastic recording and I expect that applies to the Redbook CD version just as much.  The dynamics on Track 1 have startled the heck out of me more than once.  Many strong songs.  My fav is what immediately follows More Than This, that being Signal to Noise.  Something very moving about that song.
ghosthouse,

I really liked BLS. Reminiscent of Liquid Tension Experiment. Anything with Tony Levin is usually very well produced. I agree with your song picks also. I believe they are the some of the best tracks. Thanks for the intel!

arcam88, great selection as always! In keeping with the Tony Levin and Peter Gabriel theme, I listened to a Remastered version of "So" that is recorded very nicely.

I really like this from Dalton Santos. "I Guitar".

I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record (well, actually like a continuous audio stream), but this morning I'm listening to Radio Paradise's internet radio stream (Again!). I love the eclectic mix. They just played Two Cello's version of "Hurt" followed by Led Zeppelin - "Heartbreaker", then Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros - "All in a Day". Who does that?........... :~) I've found so much new music on Radio Paradise. I've started using Shazam just to keep a running record of the new music I hear, and want to buy, while listening to RP.

Seriously, for me, for passive listening, Radio Paradise is currently my favorite music source, bar none. It ain't bad for active listing either. I find the sound quality at 320kbps to be excellent. I'm often in pure amazement regarding their playlist. I have a little music server/streamer that I built using a Raspberry Pi / HiFiBerry DAC Pro+ that I use for streaming RP to my main system. It sounds great!

Happy Weekend to All, and Enjoy.......
reubent,

I agree with you on RP. If I had a different set-up, I'd listen more. I hate to sit in front of my computer to listen.

arcam88,

Appreciate to follow-up!
