Just got my MC-6 back from replacing IEC and 3 outlets with Furutech NCF. Installed a ground post (to tie 2 dedicated lines ground together), upgraded the wires that didn't go through the magnet with UPOCC copper for hot and mil-spec for neutral, and replaced some of the insulation.
Stock, I prefer MC-6 to Weizhi. But after replacing the IEC and outlets on both Weizhi with NCF, I prefer the Weizhi. Now one is not better than the other but just different. Moving MC-6 to the system powering the sources, is similar to adding a HFC PC or several MC-05s ... more magnets.
I would love to compare my modded MC-6 with a Hemisphere MC-6. IMO, the MAJOR difference between the 2 is hemisphere has Furutech GTX-D (R) receptacles for 3x the price. My mod MC-6 is MUCH MUCH less expensive than hemisphere with superior NCFs.
