Canary preamp experiences?

I have the Canary monoblock pre-amplifiers and they were very good in stock form I had the modded by Bob and Gary Backert of RHB Soundezign and they turned them into phenomenal pre-amps. Exceptionally clean and clear sound with great imaging (depth and height to the soundstage), really nice tone colors, and a nice touch of tube glow without any overhang. I love them dearly and do not lust after other pre-amps.

i have a canary ca601, sounds great.  i replaced all the caps and tubes, it is an excellent preamp! it will give you that tube sound with a great sound stage, smooth & open with great bass. Speakers disappear real nice. mine is paired up to a mccormack dna1 ( or a harmaon kardon citation 7.1  ( both have been recapped) to vandersteen 2ci or b&w 801 s80...
 My cj pv6 is a bit smoother, better but at a much greater cost..  the canary is really good for the $900 total invested!  i'll have near $1200 into the cj pv6 when its all done..
