Hard to explain why I have two pair of these
I have a hard time remembering models as this goes many years back. My father bought me my first stereo if you can call it that. It was a tuner, turntable, as one piece with the worst speakers you can ever imagine. At the time, I thought it was fantastic. From there, it went this way:
Superscope Speakers(division of Marantz,I believe)
JVC
JBL 30's
Advent
Polk RTA 11T
Klipsch Reference Series
Dynaudio Contours 3.3
1.Homemade speakers from a friend of my hippy sister 1976

2.JBL L110 from my brother in USAF 1980-present (An evil HT speaker, We don't need no steenking sub) Returning to my brother after refoaming the surrounds on the woofers.

3. Wharfdale Delta 50 1986-present Nice sealed enclosure. In basement system.

4. Dynaudio Contour 1.8 II w/ Center and Audience 42 W surrounds 2000-present. My current big system.

5. Totem Rokks 2000-present Was in bedroom system, great dynamics, but I changed the room and they didn't work as well. Selling soon.

6. Quad 11L 2002-present. New bedroom speakers, sound great, not as punchy as the Rokks, but much smoother. Better than the dynaudio audiences, and they are also gorgeous.
