Are tuners still popular

my original post didn't include -"composed while listening to my Mac MR 71."

Growing up in a household with the radio constantly on, I haven't stopped.
Sometimes I don't even turn it off on the weekends!

Unfortunatley, in my area, anything beyond NPR,Jazz and Classical is awful. R&R will eventually need to few included as a public service, because what's left in SocCal, leaves much to be desired.

To sounds real. I’d like your tuner if it’s working. Thanks. Pete. pts1@shaw.ca
Nope. I never had good FM reception - now listen to my stations ( and around the world ) on the internet.
Even for the astute audiophile the are different kinds of music, one of which is Phil Music, the stuff in between listening sessions.  This is the background music of life.  Radio is prime source of this.  Radio is also a powerful source of local information useful to daily life (try the weather of traffic), and of course radio is a good source of what you have never heard before, or a reminder of what you have heard but forgotten.

While AM radio is struggling for relevance in modern life, FM still is as it is portable and timely.

I doubt you will see it go away but more likely become more personable.
