Steve Hoffman site Beatles discussions?

One thing for sure, the Beatles remasters have generated a lot of discussion. Some of it I find quite interesting although there's not enough hours in the day to follow all the threads on Steve Hoffman's site. Mind boggling!

Has anyone tried to follow any of these?

The problem with The Beatles music---whether on original Parlophone LPs (which I have), the recent mono LPs (which I also have), CDs (yup)---is that the recordings themselves are rather mediocre. George Martin was a fine producer, and EMI had great recording equipment, but The Beatles recordings are just not that good. Pick any format or pressing you want, the limiting factor is the recording itself.
@gpgr4blu - ask the seller to verify the deadwax, I will double check, but am virtually certain it is a -2. The other issue of the record from Horzu (which for some reason I think was a magazine publisher), was a "normal" stereo copy. Give me a little time and I will check.
Hi @whart:
Thanks for your response. I actually own the album. I am just not sure which pressing it is. I will check the deadwax this eve. That's a start.
Yep, there is a discussion (or several) on Hoffman, but this site is interesting- it looks like both the second and fourth issues, which share the -2 suffix in the matrix, have the same sonic attributes. (Discussion in the commentary)
