Best Preamp for Ayre Acoustics CX-7eMP?

What is it you don't like about the Belles Aria?

i like the Belles but looking for perhaps more detail, soundstage, dynamics, warmth, i listen to jazz, classical and some contemporary pop w vocals

i also thought the Ayres pre might be a better marriage w the Ayres CD player

You might want to try the Aesthetix Calypso which is a great sounding preamp. The only question is whether your amp has balanced inputs. All of the Ayre gear is designed to perform best using balanced connections. Same with the Aesthetix gear. Good Luck!
