I just recently bought a pair of psb500 loudspeakers (made in 1992) with the factory recommended stands from the original owner who still had the manuals. I agree that the technology in speakers have not advanced like the amps and receivers have. I think, if taken care of, once a good speaker always a good speaker. I wasn't familiar with the psb brand and after a little research, I realized I was getting a pair of speakers out of my price range for well within my budget. Loving them!
