They are easy to R&R. You can check for loose connections without an ohmmeter. Is this problem in both speakers?
Infinity RS 2.5
I have a question. Maybe someone can help me. I have just bought a set of Infinity RS 2.5 speakers. I have had the woofers reformed. After hooking these up, I notice that the tweeter can be heard in the rear, but I don't hear them fall on the from. Is this how the Emit tweeter should sound, or should I be hearing it in the front and rear? The Emim's sound fine. Thanks.

I know. I find that really strange too. I was just reading on one of the forums. Just new to this. Someone said, and it appears in the literature that using a single amplifier the speakers terminals should jumpered. Mine are not. Do you think that could have anything to do with one tweeter not working on each side? Is this true, and important? Still doesn't make sense to me but thought I would ask. Thanks. |
The lower set of speaker terminals is for the woofers. The upper set is for the mid-range and tweeters. Is this what your speakers look like? http://www.infinity-classics.de/models/Reference-series-1+b-2-10+A+B-1981-86/Reference-Standard-2.5/RS2.5-11.jpg http://www.infinity-classics.de/models/Reference-series-1+b-2-10+A+B-1981-86/Reference-Standard-2.5/RS2.5-3.jpg If you hear rear EMITS, and front EMIMs and Woofers, the terminals must be jumpered together. |
