I ordered 3 of the APO Direct To Disc LPs, recorded in the Blue Heaven Studios’ converted church in Kansas. I was expecting a lot, and my expectations were exceeded!  The music is superb and the technical matters from recording to pressing were done exceedingly well. Super quiet and detailed records.  Recommended!

If you ever get a chance, you need to attend Chad’s Blues Masters At The Crossroads event he does every fall.

FANTASTIC time and LOTS and LOTS of great music.

@mofimadness  holy cow I intend to! Hopefully this year with a group of friends. I take it you’ve been there… How was it? Super crowded? Possible to get a seat in the church?
@marktomaras

Yes, I’ve been several times. Tickets are limited and yes, it takes place in the church, which btw, has SUPERB acoustics.

I’ve even hung out after the show and talked to the musicians. It’s really a laid back, low key environment.

Some of the best concerts I’ve ever been to, and I’ve seen just about everyone, (some many times).

I guarantee you’ll be talking about it for a long time.

You also get a tour of Acoustic Sounds and I think Chad is even including his QRP on the tour now.

Curious??????

How do these new D2D recordings or even the new MFSL Ultradisc recordings fare by comparison to say, the Sheffield Labs D2D of yore?

Does anyone here want to share?
