RIP Dave Wilson

Thank you for pushing the envelope,
Thank you for not leaving well enough alone!

Whether you are a fan or not of Wilson Audio speakers, the audio community lost a great designer this year.

Hey guys, we can all jump on someone who made an inappropriate, rude, or controversial comment.  I totally agree that people should behave in a civilized manner on the forums, and many do not.  However, the man who made the comment in question did add a thoughtful apology / retraction.  I think that is sufficient to cut him some slack.  Most people would not even do that, so I applaud the sincerity and the correction of a mistake.  Now if the rest of the forum using public would follow suit!  Anyway, no reason to pick on him further and distract from the topic of this thread.
+1 marktomaras I read the offending comment. It was wrong to post it. I read the apology. It was right to post it. It is the mature, appropriate thing to do after making a mistake. I wish I had done more of it in my life. I contend that two of the hardest things to do in life are 1) to sincerely apologize and seek forgiveness; and 2) to sincerely accept apologies and extend forgiveness.
Peace
Al
It got a little ugly over here: https://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=158025.0

Suffering from cancer is nothing you want to witness, two of my buddies just passed from it, 60 and 61 years, watching their decline was horrible.

RIP Dave Wilson.

It takes a man to apologize, and I respect that.  We all have bad moments and bad days.  I've certainly made more than my share of mistakes, and have received the grace of forgiveness.
Again, RIP David Wilson.  Hope his loved ones someday find peace
Thanks for sharing rx8man.  There are some terrible people in this world.  As for Al, it does take a big man to show up let alone say what you did was wrong.  Respect for that.

What folks don't always understand is that the Wilson's are good people who do good things for others.  That and cancer is what this is all about. nothing more, nothing less.  That AC thread is vile.
