Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Genesis / Lamb Lies Down On Broodway
IMO this is one of the best rock albums ever pressed. I first heard it in my early teens & have loved it since.

Slaw,
The Fahey album you listened to last night is one of my favorites from him. "Pure Pleasure" released another from him that is also awesome. It's called "The yellow princess". Jay Ferguson from the band "Spirit" joins him on one of the songs.
I'm listening to the remake of "Ripples" from the Steve Hackett "Genesis Revisited" release from a couple years back.  Its a must have for any classic Genesis affectionado.

@boxer12,

Thank you so much for that info!

I'm familiar with Jay Ferguson. I own a 45 rpm pressing of "Thunder Island"

Spirit  =  Randy California????
Slaw,
You're Welcome. Yes Randy California was in the band Spirit. Not sure if he was the leader or not...

mapman,
I will check that out. Although Genesis had it's moments after Peter left the band (Trick of the tail comes to mind), I wasn't much of a fan of their music anymore. I did see them live during their Duke tour & they were really good live though.  / Thanks

Right now I'm listening to Bowie's last album (star) & really enjoying it. It's pretty obvious he knew the end was near by the lyrics. Bummer.
