vandersteen m5-hp crossover setting

what should the setting be with  vandy 3 si and  and the wq subs and also the  2c using rogue 180 mono blocks

I looked at Rogue website and owners manual and no input impedence is specified
so I would advise NOT running it till you get those values from manufacture or a Rogue dealer who understands the Vandersteen sub. There are several in the country, Michigan and CA

or IF you have Vandertones and voltmeter you can test for 3db down per the years or so, never needed a sub..but I understand others may need / want

hope this has helped

Rarely are the suggested input impedance owners manual settings spec ideal for optimization of x over point
The correct setting is easy to do by carefully setting dip switches yourself. Remember all switches start at open. when setting dips only the ones on the label are set to point toward their given numbers
This make s a huge difference in performance.

FYI all settings on M5 HP label are relative to a 100 HZ x over Vandersteen Five/ Quatro/ Seven.
One setting down is relative with 80 HZ x over for standard speakers with 2WQs or New Vandersteen Sub 3s.
1 The 21 dollar easy read big red Voltmeter available at Harbour freight with some insulated Aligator clips.
2 Download the Vandertones CD / File
3 Set Voltmeter to AC volts, hook up probes to speaker wires plus and minus at amp or speakers.
4 Play track 27 1000 HZ adjust preamps volume until V meter reads 1 volt AC
5 Play track 31 100 HZ when dip switches are correct will read.707
repeat 4 and 5 together until you get it right.
