Frank,
I tried an application of TC on the junction of 2 parts that screw together.
Like on audio contacts there was a period of curing that both I and the cellist could hear. After 3 weeks we liked the improvement..seemed as if there was less noise returning from the floor thru the rod and onto the strings. The player said the bow was more responsive..so to me that meant an improvement of efficiency..Both of us thought there was a cleaner sound less odd order distortion.
Many players need to remove one part from the other so just like in audio there would need to be a re application.. much more often than in an audio system.
To me the application of TC to mechanical parts confirmed what I heard in my own high fi. Lower distortion.
Always looking for an enhancement of my product line and TC could be used within a special version of my Acoustic Coupling Disc. TC in combination with other materials I now use would further reduce interfering energy.
I will soon try the Omega Mat in conjunction with this new Acoustic Coupling disc as I designed the disc to be highly reactive. While my pins and discs are pricey and then perhaps add the Omega mat to the total, not many up and coming cellists could afford this beneficial formula. Though I have had the soccer mom type make a purchase for their Johnnie or Sue to give them a much added boost for a cello competition. Tom
