Fan noise from Toshiba HD-XA2?

I managed to find and purchase a demo XA2 and looking forward to trying it as soon as I get an HDMI cable in the mail. But one thing that's puzzling me is that the rear fan noise is a bit louder than what I'm used to hearing from an A/V device. It's not a whining or clicking noise, just a normal fan sound. For those of you that have owned an XA2, is it normal to hear the fan quite a bit when the unit is idle with no disc?

Love the picture, but I've decided to return the HD-XA2 because the fan sounds very loud on this demo unit, almost like AC on medium blast in the car. Maybe something is wrong with the unit, or that's just how it normally sounds; anyhow it's very distracting when watching a movie at low volume or during quiet scenes, much much louder than my Optoma projector fan.
Rxlarry....go back and get that XA2 right this minute!! Or, if you haven't already returned it....leave it right where it is. The picture you will get on any other upscaling dvd player will not measure up to the XA2. I suggest you make yourself a plexiglass box cover or something to minimize the noise....you won't find a better picture for standard def dvd's anywhere.
Just purchased a two-bay equipment rack from Guitar Center.
This MDF box has room for two full size (19" wide)components.
My Toshiba A35 fits in nicely.
I bought a 3.5" X 19" metal "fill strip" to cover the top slot and laid a 1" dense foam rubber mat on top of the player.
This prevents most noise from exiting the front.
I'm planning to get some more foam to insulate the inside but for now have stuffed a pillow in the back.
This solution has cost over $130.
So far, it's about 80% effective (damn that player is loud!)
