Unfortunately, a significant number of products manufactured in China are poor in quality...depends on the industry. If it is a faked product , there should be greater concern over the quality as fakes are typically designed to mimic appearance...not performance. Hence, you should purchase from a reputable dealer. Don’t be afraid to ask for a discount. If you don’t ask...you don’t get! And, if the price seems to good to be true...it most likely is!

Nonoise is so pumped over his kinki studios integrated that I might just put in an order today. Great review btw. The Chinese make some pretty awesome gear. 
Not everyone can afford 5 figure components. Vincent, primaluna are also made there. 

Though I've obviously made the statement shifting the accusations of counterfeiting by the Chinese back on the accusers, that doesn't mean I believe they produce the best sounding, best performing, best value audio components.  They simply don't 

Lots of great pricing on excellent gear in China.  Teradak LPSs are very good for the money.  You can purchase rhodium plated AC connectors with carbon fiber housing that are very high quality for just $70 for a set.  They are a wonderful start to a killer DIY power cord.
