DO CABLES REALLY MATTER?

Yes they do.  I’m not here to advocate for any particular brand but I’ve heard a lot and they do matter. High Fidelity reveal cables, Kubala Sosna Elation and Clarity Cable Natural. I’m having a listening session where all of them is doing a great job. I’ve had cables that were cheaper in my system but a nicely priced cable that matches your system is a must.  I’m not here to argue what I’m not hearing because I have a pretty good ear.  I’m enjoying these three brands today and each is presenting the music differently but very nicely. Those who say cables don’t matter. Get your ears checked.  I have a system that’s worth about 30 to 35k retail.  Now all of these brands are above 1k and up but they really are performing! What are your thoughts.

@dave_b:

"wire really is wire!"

There is only one thing out there that is an actual counterpoint to wire. The only thing that really shows you for the first time, what wire sounds like.

As... a fundamental difference, that this ’other’ possesses... is required for you to see or ’hear’ it. To finally stand far enough way from wire to really 'frame' it.

Just one technology.
Try using high end cables as coat hangers...very difficult. Also, the only cryo treated item I have are my main speakers which were delivered to my house when I was out of town (unexpected shipping quickness..surprise!) and sat outside on a porch in sub freezing cold for a night. Slowly thawed and sound fine.

Once you understand the science you will realize that music signals have a protective membrane surrounding and protecting them. So the wire itself that they are travelling down can only have a imperceptible impact on the sonics.
