That Transport in that CD player is a winner IMO Teac Did an amazing job building that one. they sold many VRDS systems to OEM's so a lot of top CD players have them. I had a VRDS 20 years ago and a friend still has it playing after nearly 20 years. If you have to stick with a CD spinner (I would go the NAS-Storage system way but to each his own) VRDS is a good one. Just remember repairs down the road could be difficult if Teac didn't make enough for replacement parts as the moving stuff tends to go bad first. But all in all from what I've seen they are build very well and the early ones lasted ( i know 2 people who have the early ones)
