Shipping company recommendations for large speakers?
try a moving companies drop shipping option. I've use Day and Ross a few time to move large heavy speakers. last ones were some that were 250lb each they came put them on a pallet and shipped them. no issues at all and I didn't have to lug them an...
Nagaoka MP11 GOLD info…
recommend you upgrade to a newer Nagaoka if you like the Nag sound, the MP110 is the replacement but to be honest the MP200 is a better cart for not much more. the MP 500 even better but quite a bit more $.
Fuse for Parasound JC 1 monoblock
gkelly    wow $600USD for a fuse, wow this hobby is getting out of hand. that’s close to a grand in Canadian money. crap my preamp has 4 of them my amps have 4 of them each, mono blocks, I’d have more money in fuses then the amp costs.
Need a 4 way electronic crossover
suggest you find a local electronics repair shop and take it for a service/restoration. you may find it can be repaired easily.  Its definitely worth saving. and after a restoration probably sound like new.
Bi-amping a MC275 with my MC452.
Interesting as i also have a 275 and 301 mono blocks i was considering doing the same.  one noted thing is the factory tubes Mac is using (JJ's) are ok modern sounding tubes but IMO are the weak link in the MC 275's performance so consider changin...
Wire break-in safe without speakers?
Just listen to music, seriously why are you worried about this at all.
Outlet Question
just a note not everyone lives in the same state let alone same country so check your local electrical codes. Your probably going to want to be in code as your insurance company will definitely hang you out to dry if you have a fire and they find...

Tubes Recommendation for McIntosh Preamp
I'm using some RCA 12ax and 7AT's not the most expensive tubes in the NOS market (I payed $25 each)but they have similar detail to the JJ stock tubes and have much better sound staging and bass control, not overly rich like some of the other NOS t...
Tubes Recommendation for McIntosh Preamp
I have a C2700 with similar tube complement, 2 for line stage, 2 for MC, 2 for MM, I replaced them with NOS tubes and its much much better then the stock JJ tubes mac uses (way to bright, toneless).  matching is cheep, why would you not get them ...
Importance of a DAC's elements
Do not buy a DAC and streamer together get them separate, unless your starting out in the entry level. I know there are many decent streamer/DAC's but from my experience the DAC is always the week spot in the Streamer DAC's. Second find a streame...
This One has Me Stumped
Must be your tuner, you better sell it to me. not that there is anything wrong with my TU-9500, but I do like the TU-X1 looks better ;-)   ok maybe I'm a bit jealous as they are hard to find priced reasonably, mind you probably the best tuner ever...
Moved from Logitech Squeezebox to Cambridge CXN V2 w/NAS - sound not as good
Could be your accustomed to a bright sounding Streamer and now have a more neutral one and your questioning the difference. I'd try living with it for a while to see if your end up preferring it. if not move on from the Cambridge and try another. ...
Looking for information on who repairs NAT Audio Preamps and Amps
Try googling your local area for electronics Techs/repair facilities, there is rarely anything in any audio equipment that the majority of good techs can't deal with. this is not rocket science after all. Only a few software issues. etc. would dem...
