$1,000 speakers for rock music?

I've been looking at the ELAC UF5's.

Is there something else in the $1,000 range that would be obviously better?

Will be used for audio only, mostly vinyl. A wide variety of music, but lots of rock for sure.

I will say, the new Dali Oberon 7 they were showing at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest last weekend were amazing at $1,400/pair. Dali also has an Oberon 5 for less money.

I heard the bargain basement Elac as well as mid level. They are all very excellent for sound quality, have an extremely well balanced sound, are not bright, and can rock out. --- Those JBL speakers also look to be a good deal, but be careful of the titanium dome tweeter as those can be very bright sounding (possibly not great for rock music).
