$1,000 speakers for rock music?

I've been looking at the ELAC UF5's.

Is there something else in the $1,000 range that would be obviously better?

Will be used for audio only, mostly vinyl. A wide variety of music, but lots of rock for sure.

The ELAC are going to be very hard to beat (if not impossible) for this amount of money.  I heard the bargain basement Elac as well as mid level.  They are all very excellent for sound quality, have an extremely well balanced sound, are not bright, and can rock out.

Those JBL speakers also look to be a good deal, but be careful of the titanium dome tweeter as those can be very bright sounding (possibly not great for rock music).

For $1k you will need to have a powered Subto go with that
if not  you can’t expect much ,for less then $300 goesinto the product . If you do have a decent powered sub ,then you can get some decent stand mounts ,with discounts you can get 20% off.
Emotiva ,maybe svs , Kef, buy something Used ,you can get something that was in the $2-3k range for maybe $1200
that is your best bet for value on money spent. This makes sense
if you’re u don’t have several $1,000 to spend.
@adiuman58 - you might be on to something here.  While the Elac Uni-Fi UF5 will be excellent speakers and much better sound quality than the JBL, they are rather low efficiency at only 85db and maxes out at 140 watts.

I would give the nod to the JBL 590.  The horn loaded driver is not bad and they can really pump out the volume.  Ultimately, I think the Elac will sound better in the end, but if you want serious volume the 590 is pretty good.
