Don’t repeat my mistake and order the more expensive 12 gauge wire in the oil cotton wrap as an AC hook-up wire. You want the cheaper 600V-12 gauge wire in the polycast wrap if you intend to use the wire in an AC hook-up configuration.

The more expensive oil cotton wrap wire would be a fire hazard in an AC hook-up implementation. That was the advice I got from Bill (grannyring).
